Best home brew beer kit

I've tryed a lot of beer kits and I found the one!, i took the shop guys advise & went with the brew sugar (dextrose/malt blend)
Results... a full bodied beer, thick and dense on the pallet with a good creamy head.
I drank a few batches and went to the pub a week later only to find the tap beer tasted waterey and weak with little favour in comparison. I now have a hard time paying for beer that's rubbish compared to this kit
