Product Description

A Probiotic Yoghurt Culture that produces a creamy, full-bodied yet low-pH (low acid) yoghurt.

Health benefits of probiotic strains

The health benefits of probiotics are recognised by
researchers, physicians and consumers. These
benefits include positive effects on
• gastrointestinal health
• immune responses / immune system

Probiotic effect on gastrointestinal tract and
immune system

The gastrointestinal tract (GI tract) is the primary
interface between the human body and the food we
consume. It hosts the largest immune organ in the
body containing at least 80% of all immunoglobulin
producing cells. It is home to 1-2 kg of bacteria with a
microbial population of 1014 (100,000 billion) and it is
known that the gut microflora plays an important role
in interacting with the local as well as the systemic
immune system.

The microflora of the gut exists as a delicate balance
of beneficial and potentially harmful organisms. Under
certain conditions, such as stress, traveling and
antibiotic treatment, the balance of this natural
ecosystem can be disturbed.

Now you can make your own creamy, full-bodied yet low-pH (low acid) probiotic yoghurt.

It's a delicious way to help get your system back in balance.

Directions:

1.    Heat 1 litre of pasteurised milk to between 37-43°C.
2.    Add ½ tspn of Culture and stir well.
3.    Keep mixture at 37-43°C for 4 – 6 hrs.
4.    Refrigerate finished yoghurt at 2-4°C

  1. What did I do wrong

Posted by Unknown on 24th Nov 2024

Made my first batch following instructions to the letter yet ended up with a very runny yoghurt after 6 hours so left it longer and refrigerated overnight to great disappointment. I like a firmer set yoghurt so what can I do next time?

  2. Makes great yoghurt

Posted by Eos on 4th Jul 2022

My to-go-to culture, never let me down. Makes a great, mild tasting creamy yoghurt, no sugar needed! Or leave it a bit longer to get a tangy yoghurt.

  3. Yum!

I've been using this culture for about 3 years and always get consistent results with a smooth creamy yoghurt that's not too acidic.
