Wetpak Kits are formulated as extract brewing kits. They require a little more effort but the end result is definitely worth it. To make a Wetpak beer you will require:

  • Access to a stove or hot plate (one of those little butane gas powered camp stoves will work well).
  • A pot or saucepan that is large enough to hold 6 litres of liquid.
  • A spoon for stirring.
  • A sieve, colandar lined with butter muslin or a coffee plunger.
  • 1 hour of your time to monitor your brew while it simmers on the stove.

The Classic Oak kit comes with:

  • 3kg of malt extract with the bittering hops already added.
  • a foil bag containing finishing hops.
  • a bag of finishing grain.
  • a bag of oak chips.
  • Instructions (To view the detailed instructions that come with the kit, click "HERE".)
  • A sachet of  Fermentis' Safale S-04 yeast so brew this one between 12°C to 25°C (optimal range is 15°C to 20°C).

*** Note: Upon opening the can, you may see what looks like candied sugar or a green crust. Don't panic, it's just the fresh hops within the can that have come to the surface of the malt. They're supposed to be there! ***

  1. Fantastic Beer, just give it some time

Posted by Travis on 4th Oct 2023

This beer blew my mind. Took about 4-5 months to age to absolute perfection inside the keezer. Highly recommend you get one down and just let it sit and mature. Absolutely amazing flavours a real pleasure to drink.

  2. Oaked Ale Awesomeness !

Posted by Barry Reeves on 2nd Oct 2016

Brewed this with 1 kg bodybrew and 500g rice malt syrup , was awesome if a little strong on the alcohol taste , although it was maltier than I usually like it was probably my favourite brew that I've ever made , kegged well , tight , persistent, creamy head and strong . Sadly it was too good to share .

  3. It alright. Bit expensive though.

Was expecting a bit more to be honest. But still makes good beer.

  4. Another great Wetpak beer

    This beer is really good.
But all the beers in the Wetpak range are really good.
